Description

  • Available for the USA side at Rank 4.
  • Armed with Anti-Tank missiles to deal with tanks.
  • Carries a gatling gun to kill infantry.
  • Can engage all ground targets.
  • Can be taken down by Fighters, SAMs and Anti-Air soldiers.
  • Unable to engage Air targets.

Usage

  • The best unit to taking out enemy armored units, even those that are hidden in bases.
  • Use in conjunction with the EF-111 Raven to ensure that it won't get shot down too easily.
  • The A-10 takes all enemy ground vehicles out with a single missile, but beware, it can miss against the T-80UK.
  • While the A-10 can take quite some damage, it needs sanitized airspace to operate properly, so clear up the area of AA units and then send it in.
  • Its Maverick missiles has the same range as long-range Anti-Air missile systems, so you can even use it as a SEAD plane if you catch them by surprise. The A-10's heavy armour helps with this task.
  • It's a very costly unit. Retreat when you notice that it's taking damage.

Against Infantry

Very well against infantry, especially clustered, but try to not use it in this task.

Against Vehicle

THE tank-killer aircraft.

Against Buildings

While it cannot attack it with its missile, it can still fire at it with its minigun doing a reasonable bit of damage, but not nearly enough because the minigun's ammo is limited.

How to defend against

  • Anti-Air soldiers do a great job at taking out A-10s. So garrison a few buildings with them.
  • A-10s are helpless against interceptors.
  • Anti-Air missile systems have devastating results against A-10s as well, but be ware of his anti-tank missiles.
  • Anti-Air bunkers make short work of A-10 Thunderbolts
