Description
- Armed with missiles that are highly effective against planes and helicopters.
- Available from level 2.
- Can engage aircraft within a long range.
- Cannot engage infantry or any other ground target.
- Cannot be garrisoned like other emplacements
- Can be built only by the M998 Hummer and UAZ for USSR.
Usage
- Place it at the edges of your base to defend against air attacks.
- US Anti-Air site is resistant to EF-111 Raven jamming and F-4G Wild Weasel attacks.
- USSR AA site will succeed in action against all enemy aircraft with 1 missile, except EF111 which will turn it off.
- It has a long range but extremely minimal view sight, so make sure it has a radar near it to spot aircraft early.
Tips
- Usually the perfect place for such systems is just behind your mainline of defense, because they cannot engage other targets except air target but they can still support your other defenses with their long range.
- You could also place one or two inside your main base to defend it from call-in airstrikes.
How to counter it
- It's helpless against tanks and infantry, so use them to destroy it.
- Artillery works greatly against it.
- Although US AA Site can't be blocked by the EF-111 Raven nor attacked by the F-4G Wild Weasel due to it using infra-red targeting, its missiles can still be diverted by the EF-111 Raven electronic countermeasures. This does not apply to the USSR AA Bunker as it is fully vulnerable to such attacks.
