The second available Anti-Air vehicle for the USSR after the Shilka. Uses missiles instead of bullets.
Description
- Available from the start after building the Tank Supplystation.
- Uses missiles unlike the Shilka.
- Can shoot down all types of aircraft, with exception of high flying aircraft(Su-27/F-16/F-15C/Call in airstrikes).
- Cannot engage any type of ground targets.
- Has a short range.
Usage
- You should always bring one along in your assaults to defend yourself against helicopters and jets.
- It can take down helicopters easily if you spot them early.
- They are helpless against tanks, so don't put them against them.
- Is less effective against aircraft compared to helicopters.
Against Aircraft
Can shoot most helicopters with two missiles or more, jets are a hard target for it.
How to defend against
- Anti-Tank missiles can take it out with one or two hits.
- Anti-Tank Soldier is good for the job, as the Gaskin can't engage infantry.
- Tanks are ideal for destroying Sa-9's.
- AH64 and Hind's, armed with long range missiles can take them out.
- The EF-111 Raven can try to deceive his missiles, but he won't do that for ever.
- Base defenses and garrisoned structures are a good defense against Sa-9 Gaskin's, as they are not able to fire at base defences.
