Conquest

Jump to: navigation, search
Basically the Conquest mode is a skirmishmode without bases. You start with some units, and by capturing various flags positioned in the maps, you can get reinforcements. At the beginning, you have a command tank (elite M1A1/T-80UK) and some soldiers. The command tank and your infantry can capture the flags. There are four classes of flags: light, medium, heavy and helicopter. Each flag grants you reinforcement units from time to time. The "heavier" the class, the better are the units you get. For example, a light flag may support you with some Jeeps/APCs and infantry, while a heavy flag generates tanks and artillery. But heavier flags also have a longer "reload time", a light flag spawns units more frequently than a helicopter flag. A player wins if his enemy doesn't own any flags and has lost his command tank.

Maps

Conquest maps can only be played by two players. You don't have to worry about fuel in conquest maps.

Forest

Forest is a very open map with no impassable areas at all, making it easy to attack from behind. A few garrisonable buildings are located in the center of the map.

Snow

The map is divided into two parts by a river. Both heavy flags are in the small part of the map. A few buildings offer some kind of protection. You can cross the river using one of the two bridges or amphibious units and helicopters.

In the larger part of the map, the rest of the flags can be captured. Some of them can be defended by garrisoning buildings.

Veld

The Veld map consists of 3 parts: The main area in the center of the map, a plateau in the south-west corner and a valley in the north-east corner. The plateau has two "entry points" while the valley only has one larger entry.

There are no buildings in this map.

Village

In the center of the map is the eponymous village, and some farm buildings are scattered around the map. This offers many ambush positions and increases the importance of infantry. Vehicles might not be agile enough to navigate between the buildings. They are still far from useless though, as there are also some flags in the open areas that can easily be captured by a quick rush.

And your tanks can still shoot their way through these nasty buildings...
