Dropzone

The USSR's Dropzone is an upgrade of their Headquarters, the USA's Dropzone is a separate building. The Dropzone is the basic source of early-game supplies and the place from which convoys are ordered. It can also support allies with a supply drop.

General Information

Unlike the USSR, the US got their own separate structure for the receiving their supplies, this makes it easier to hide and protect and at the same time easier for the enemy to destroy. A USSR player can build the dropzone from the Command Center as an upgrade, this makes it very hard to destroy because the Command Center itself is a bunker, and is an extremely hardened structure that can withstand a lot of damage. In areas where convoys are available, ordering one can be done through the dropzone. You can also drop supplies to your allies using the dropzone.

Tips

  • Always make the Dropzone one of your first built structures.
  • Don't call in a convoy unless you are sure that it's path is protected or that you can protect it when it is inbound.
  • The ally supply drop times out if left for more than a minute, so make sure that you drop it where it is designated before the time runs out.
