Description
- Available for the USA side at Rank 4 as a general upgrade.
- Armed with 4 guided bombs, takes mostly two to destroy most structures including barracks and fuel depots.
- Can take all vehicle targets in a single bombing run.
- Can be taken down by Fighters, SAMs, but not Anti-Air soldiers.
- Unable to engage Air targets.
Usage
- Use in pairs to destroy the enemy's fuel lines.
- Use the EF-111 Raven to provide cover for it.
- Do not hesitate to use it against ground units, because unlike missiles its bombs cannot be fooled.
- Precise bombing is very possible with F-111s, but there's still a slight chance that it will damage your own units, just be careful with it.
Against Infantry
Only use against infantry when absolutely necessary.
Against Tanks
F-111s are very effective at destroying tanks, even the most powerful of the Soviet tanks stands humbled by the F-111s guided bombs.
Against Buildings
Use in pairs to cause maximum damage. Support them with the EF-111 Raven to ensure that they deliver their full load before being taken down by Anti-Air.
How to defend against
- The F-111 is a sitting duck against interceptors, so always deploy them in sanitized airspace.
- Early anti-air defences are not as effective against the F-111 as it is with the late defences, later tech SAMs being mobile or stationary are highly effective against them yet vulnerable to their attacks.
- The F-111 is not a hit and run bomber, it stays in the bombing area for a long period making it vulnerable to Anti-Air.
