Large Fuel Depot

The large fuel depot provides 100 units of fuel.

General Information

Works in the same principle as the Small Fuel Depot, except that you get it later (Rank 3) and holds 100 units of fuel. It is as easy to destroy as the Small Fuel Depot, but destroying it results in far better (Or worse if it's yours) tactical cases.

Tips

  • Do not cluster fuel depots together, they make easy targets for called-in strikes that way.
  • Don't rely only on your built fuel depots, capture civilian fuel depots to ensure that your army never runs out of fuel.
  • Fuel depots are easy to take out, so consider building at least one far from your base for times in which you'll need it.
  • Large Fuel Depots explode with even bigger strength than Small Fuel Depot, so do not build it right next to other structures.

Countering it

  • If you encounter a garrisoned USSR Fuel depot, just send in a couple of garrison-clearing units and it'll be cleared in no time.
  • Because Fuel depots are highly volatile when destroyed, they are a preferred target when you find them stacked against other units or other structres.
  • Enemy units and whole defenses rely on fuel, if you destroy them there's a chance that the enemy will run out of fuel, effectively disabling their entire army (save for infantry units).
  • Fuel depots are soft targets when compared to other buildings, so send in a few artillery units to harass the enemy's fuel depots before attacking them with your forces.
