Description

  • Third Helicopter available for the USSR side at Rank 3.
  • Can engage all types of ground targets including infantry and heavy armour.
  • Most effective against tanks, also effective against infantry and buildings to a certain extent.
  • Can be taken down by SAMs and Anti-Air soldiers.
  • Can transport up to 4 infantry units.

Usage

  • The Mi-24E Hind can only drop the units inside it by landing, so make sure the landing zone is clear of enemy units.
  • It can take much more punch than your average helicopter, but it can still be shot down killing all infantry inside it.
  • Its rockets are useful, but not as useful against heavy armour, so select your targets wisely.
  • Use engineers, medics and officers inside it to provide support for your ground units.
  • You can also use it to cross over obstacles like water and mountains.
  • The Mi-24E Hind has a long range but a short view sight, so make sure to make use of its range by scouting for targets.
  • Use the fact that this is a "flying tank" and support your ground forces after having unloaded them on the battlefield

Against Infantry

Can wreak havok on infantry units, especially if clustered together. Gatling gun deals with individual targets while the unguided rockets for grouped up infantry units.

Against Tanks

Can take out most armoured vehicles with one missile from a far, if that does not work it fires its gatling gun at the target, but be careful that the gatling gun has a short range while the AT-6 Spiral has a long range.

Against Buildings

Toggle between unguided rockets and the gatling gun to destroy buildings, but it's highly not recommend risk attacking a base with only one Mi-24E Hind.

How to defend against

  • Unlike the Mi-26 Halo, the Mi-24E Hind can engage ground targets, so it's always better to engage it with your fighters.
  • Always detect it before it comes close if you plan on shooting it down with your ground-based Anti-Air.
  • Long-range Anti-Air vehicles like the M48 Chaparral can deal with it easily, but only if it can't spot them first.
  • The Anti-Air Soldier can take it out with two missiles, so garrison towns and village to protect yourself from its attacks.
