Description

  • Available at start after building a Tank Supplystation.
  • Can engage most ground targets except for tanks.
  • Most effective against helicopters.
  • Can also engage infantry.
  • Able to upgrade, becomes stealthed while stationary after the upgrade.

Usage

  • The Shilka can cause massive damage against infantry with its cannon, so use it to attack infantry after spotting them.
  • It can take down helicopters easily, but beware that it has a short range, so don't attack unless the helicopters are in range.
  • They are helpless against tanks, so don't put them against them.
  • Good for supporting infantry.
  • Can shoot at ground support planes like the A-10, but not at high flying jets like the SU-27.

Against Infantry

Can wreak havoc on infantry units, as it is heavily armed and cannot be fired at by machineguns.

Against Tanks

Can do considerable damage against vehicles, but not heavily armoured tanks.

Against Buildings

Deals mentionable damage against structures.

Against Aircraft

Devastating against helicopters. Can shoot at jets but they will most likely survive.

How to defend against

  • Anti-Tank missiles can take out with one or two hits.
  • Anti-Tank Soldier is good for the job, but is an easy target for the Shilkas.
  • Tanks are ideal for destroying Shilkas.
  • Helicopters armed with long range missiles can take them out easily too.
  • The F-4G Wild Weasel can destroy it very easily.
  • The EF-111 Raven can disable it.
  • Base defenses and garrisoned structures are a good defense against Shilkas.
